Results from Master Worlds 2016

Hey everyone, so the end of last week/over the weekend was Master Worlds: unfortunately I was not able to attend, but I did try to keep up to date on the results (mainly focusing on my team because you know, obviously).

Anyway, it seems for  the men’s team title it went as follows: Carlson Gracie Team with 324 points, Gracie Barra with 283 points and Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu with 204 points (hooray!)

For the women’s division, the top teams were:  Carlson Gracie Team with 103 points, Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu with 87 points (again, hooray!) and Gracie Barra with 85 points.

Some notable wins were Xande and Rafael Lovato closing out their division, and Saulo won his 5th Title in a row (yay!) but got injured and is likely to have torn bicep (yikes!).

Did anyone else follow along the tournament this weekend? Any notable matches you want to share? Let me know- otherwise, have a great day everyone!

  1. I didn’t follow along, but a friend of mine–Mike Jones–took gold in Purple Belt Heavy Weight, and silver in Purple Belt Open Weight, both in the Senior division
