Happy Friday: Sad Pop Culture Edition

Man, this week sucks in terms of pop culture. First David Bowie passed away, and now Alan Rickman.

One of my teammates posted this on Facebook: please enjoy “Epic Tea Time with Alan Rickman” and have a good weekend everyone.

  1. And Glenn Frey this week. January 2016 has been a sad month. I guess the main reason is that the musicians and actors from the ’60s through to ’80s had a massive cultural impact which has filtered through generations of people who either grew up during that time or enjoyed it later (especially as everything is accessible now in a way it never has been before: e.g., the amount of people in their 20s who love Bowie).

So now that the leading lights of ’60s/’70s creativity are getting to a certain age, looks like we’re sadly going to be saying goodbye to a lot of them soon. ūüė¶
