I mean, that’s essentially what it is…
I don’t really know the particulars of how this match between the wrestler and the jiu jitsu players transpired- maybe it was an “official” challenge (I’m using that term loosely), maybe not. I only watched part of this video, and when I did the audio was off.
It still surprises me in this day and age that people still challenge the jiu jitsu system. In the beginning when the sport was still fairly unheard of, it was more understandable: this martial art goes around and tells anyone to come on in and try to best a jiu jitsu guy, and so dudes from all martial arts/walks of life come in and try to rep their respective discipline, and more often than not, fail.
But that was also when the UFC wasn’t that popular just yet- they were having their events every 3-6 months, schools were still relatively few and far in between. Jiu jitsu has experienced a huge influx in a relatively short period of time: and yet people are still looking to challenge the sport/martial art.
