Ok, confession moment: this post was originally titled “coffee is good for you: suck it, naysayers”.
Studies suggest that women who drink higher amounts of caffeine are less likely to develop tinnitus. For anyone who isn’t sure what that is, it’s a ringing in your ears that never really goes away. Considering my father has tinnitus, I’m happily slurping down my multiple cups o’ joe in hopes that I will not suffer the same condition- although to be honest, we’ve had some pretty funny conversations due to it.
The article also goes on to list other studies that suggest coffee’s health benefits, including protecting drinkers from type 2 Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and more, citing all the studies mentioned (an article after my own heart).
Speaking of coffee, I’m going to go grab myself (another) cup.
