Not necessarily a “happy” topic, but one we need to talk about.
As I’m sure you’ve heard in the news, there have been ebola virus breakouts in Africa, and two patients were transported to the United States. And, considering how much sweat we all share (especially in no gi…yeesh…) it’s a somewhat understandable concern.
Rather than hide under the mattress or train with a Hazmat suit on, let’s try to understand the virus- I fully believe knowledge is power. You can’t deal with something if you don’t know what you’re up against.
Fortunately, IFLScience has a nice little article titled “Ten Things You Really Should Know About the Ebola Virus“.
Really, the most important fact in my opinion is this: “For those living in developed countries, such as the US, it is not likely that the virus will spread.”
So in short be aware, but don’t totally freak out and become a real life Bubble Boy just yet.
Have a great weekend everyone!
