Jiu Jitsu and Meditation: Non-Directive Meditation Makes Your Brain More Active

So I’ve mentioned on here a couple of times how jiu jitsu is a form of meditation, an unconventional kind of meditation, but a form of it still.

I just found this article about how non-directive meditation creates more brain activity than the directed kind. Putting it in the context of jiu jitsu- you’re using more of your brain during a roll when you don’t have a specific sweep/submission in mind, and more going with the flow and taking whatever opportunities present themselves. That’s how I’m interpreting the article, anyway.

Check it out and let me know what you think. Otherwise, have a great day everyone!
